Paul Meeks is joining Sloy, Dahl and Holst, Inc. as part of our Investment Selection Committee. Paul has been an Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager since 1987 and for more than 20 years has worked in tech stocks. While working with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, he managed the world's biggest tech mutual fund franchise, which included six portfolios with around $8 billion in resources under his management. Paul has been on air and in print, and is among CNBC's ten "Platinum Portfolio Managers".
Paul has a BA from Williams College and a MM (MBA) from Kellogg, where he spent significant time in finance and financial accounting. He has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 1996. Meeks has instructed at three colleges since 2005, and notwithstanding his work for Sloy, Dahl and Holst, Inc. he holds a position as adjunct faculty of finance at Western Washington University. His enthusiasm for teaching likewise reaches out past the classroom and he is Chair of the Finance Committee at Bellingham Technical College. There, he and his significant other, Mary, center their altruistic giving. Paul will assume a key part in the development and implementation of two proprietary portfolios dedicated to investigating opportunities in particular to Technology and Core sectors.
